ITINERARY –ROTA DO SOL, CAMBARÁ DO SUL, CÂNION FORTALEZA

ITINERARY:

06:00 Boarding at Largo da EPATUR

We will head towards the Serra Gaúcha

The first stop will be made 165 km from POA on a hidden trail on the ROTA DO SOL; it starts on the way down the Serra and gives us a little taste of what awaits us.

Half an hour later, already on the way to CAMBARÁ DO SUL, we will make a stop in the municipality of Tainhas to “ FILL OUR BELLIES” at Café Tainhas –CONSUMPTION NOT INCLUDED

After the Café we will head towards our destination, PARQUE NACIONAL DA SERRA GERAL. Created in 1992, with an area of 17 thousand hectares, 22km from the town center. It is made up of a wonderful and lush ecosystem, countless springs of crystal-clear rivers, and rich biodiversity, which fully justifies its conservation and the sustainable management of its resources.-PARK ADMISSION INCLUDED

We will visit the main attraction of the Park, which is the CÂNION FORTALEZA. The Largest Canyon in BRAZIL, 08 km long, 2 km wide and 950 meters deep. ITS SHAPE is what GAVE RISE TO ITS NAME, and its geological formation dates back more than one hundred million years, probably from intense volcanic activity that occurred during the separation of the AFRICAN AND SOUTH AMERICAN CONTINENTS.

WE WILL DO TWO TRAILS

THE FIRST IS THE TRILHA DA PEDRA DO SEGREDO, which lasts around 02:00. Close to the VERTEX OF THE CANYON, it takes us to CASCATA DO TIGRE PRETO with its 900-meter drop. After the WATERFALL we head to the FAMOUS PEDRA DO SEGREDO, which is a huge block of rock of 5 meters and 30 tons that curiously balances on a narrow base of only 50cm on the edge of the CANYON.

THE SECOND TRAIL is the MIRANTE trail, lasting 03:00. It takes us directly to the HIGHEST POINT OF THE CANYON at 1350 meters high, therefore being the highest place in RGS. From this spot we will be able to see the whole CANYON, as well as another beautiful WATERFALL with three tiers, which plunges to the bottom of the CANYON. From this point we will have a PANORAMIC VIEW OF THE SOUTHERN COAST OF SANTA CATARINA AND THE NORTHERN COAST OF RGS AND OF THE BEAUTIFUL PRAIA DE TORRES.

Between the two trails we will make a stop for a rest and a TRAIL SNACK- INCLUDED 

On the way out of the Park we will make a stop at SÍTIO QUERÊNCIA MACANUDA, 03 km from Cambará do Sul. It is home to the AGRO INDÚSTRIA SABORES DA QUERÊNCIA. This place belongs to a couple made up of a carioca man and a gaúcha woman, who in 2009 decided to seek a simpler life and, amid nature, moved to CAMBARÁ DO SUL. There they produce JAMS AND ANTIPASTI famous for their quality. All products are made ORGANICALLY. There we will be able to enjoy a delicious tasting –TASTING AND PURCHASES NOT INCLUDED 

After the visit we will return to POA, same boarding locations.

NOTE:

Transportation will be provided to the Tour Sites and Trails as per the itinerary  

The boarding point will be the same as the drop-off point on arrival     

In case of confirmation, we need, up to 03 days before the chosen date, the full names and CPF numbers for the Travel List; for children without an RG, a copy of the birth certificate must be sent. Passengers must carry the documents sent on the date of the trip.    

It is the pax’s responsibility to present an ID document at boarding; those who do not carry one will not be able to board and there will be no refund by the Contracted Party

Minors under 16 unaccompanied by their legal guardians may only board and participate with an authorization as per Resolution No. 295/2019-CNJ –Notarized (the company is not responsible for minors)     

Children in the vehicle count as one passenger regardless of age 

The consumption of alcoholic beverages inside the vehicles is prohibited

To secure the age-group discounts at the park, you must carry the documents on the day of the trip; if the pax do not carry the proper documents, they are responsible for the price difference to be charged by the park. 

THE COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE EVENT IF THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF PASSENGERS REQUIRED TO OPERATE IT IS NOT REACHED! IN THIS CASE, THE AMOUNTS WILL BE REFUNDED IN FULL!
