Torres is a city in southern Brazil. It is known for its beaches and steep rock formations, such as Morro da Guarita in Parque Estadual da Guarita. Praia da Guarita has strong waves, and penguins and sea lions on the coast. Morro do Farol has a lighthouse and offers views of the beaches and of migrating whales. The Igreja de São Domingos, in Baroque style, dates from 1824. Parque Estadual de Itapeva has Atlantic Forest, dunes and marshes.

WALK ALONG THE MOLHES DA BARRA-It offers a stunning view of the city and of the Rio Mampituba. The installation of the Molhes involved large machines and lasted from 1967 to 1971. Its purpose was to make the entry and exit of fishing boats safer and to prevent the floods that used to happen in the past.

PONTE PÊNSIL-Before the construction of the concrete bridge that allows cars to cross between the states, the suspension bridge was the only link between the cities of Torres and Passo de Torres, as was the Ferry that operated a few meters from the site. At its inauguration in 1985 the bridge could not bear the weight and collapsed, giving rise to a lot of local folklore about the event. The Torres suspension bridge is considered one of the city’s tourist attractions. Made of wood and steel cables, it can be crossed by pedestrians only.

 13:30 Exterior visit to the IGREJA DE SÃO DOMINGOS– Known as Igreja Matriz de São Domingos das Torres, in reference to São Domingos, invoked when the chapel was founded, and to the geological formations by the sea (cliffs) called “Torres” in documents of the colonial and imperial administration. It was built starting in 1819 and inaugurated on October 25, 1824. The labor used for its construction included GUARANI soldiers, prisoners of the wars between the Luso-Brazilian army and José Artigas in the Banda Oriental.

14:00 Visit to the LAGOA DO VIOLÃO-It is located right in the city center and gets its name from its shape, similar to a guitar. It covers about 2 square km and has a footbridge that connects the Centro and Praia da Cal neighborhoods.

14:30 Tour of the PARQUE DA GUARITA– Parque Estadual José Lutzenberger –It is the main tourist attraction of the municipality of Torres. Its landscape is unique due to the contrast between the Basalt Towers and the Sea. In addition, it is an important Geosite of the Projeto Canions do Sul. The beach is perfect for surfing. Its creation was enacted in 1971, when it received the name of its creator and promoter, José Lutzenberger. The Park has 04 trails, divided into:

Blue-Easy -01 km -60 minutes of walking-Geoparque, Guarita, Torre Sul, Praia de Fora-WE WILL DO THIS TRAIL

Green –Easy -1,5km- 70 minutes of walking-Guarita, East Vegetation, West Vegetation and Hills Viewpoint, Birds

Orange-Moderate-2,2 km-120 minutes-Geoparque, Guarita, Torre Sul/Itapeva Inferior, Port, Legends, Lagoa dos Suspiros, Ilha dos Lobos and migratory animals, Praia da Cal and Morro do Farol, Dunes, West Vegetation, Birds

Red-Difficult-2,6km-150 minutes-Geoparque, Guarita. Torre Sul, Itapeva Superior, Torre Sul Itapeva Inferior, Port, Legends, Lagoa dos Suspiros, Ilha dos Lobos and Migratory Animals, Praia da Cal and Morro do Farol, Dunes, West Vegetation, Birds

Passengers must carry the submitted documents on the date of the trip.    

Presenting a document at boarding is the responsibility of the pax; if they do not carry it, they will not be able to board and there will be no refund by the Contractor

Minors under 16 unaccompanied by their legal guardians may only board and participate with an authorization according to Resolution No. 295/2019-CNJ –Registered at a Notary Office (the company is not responsible for minors)     

Children in the vehicle count as one passenger regardless of age
