HISTORY OF THE SANTA CRUZ DO SUL OKTOBER

On October 17, 1810, Bavaria and its capital, Munich, celebrated the wedding of the crown prince with a great horse race. From this event, the first great popular festival of non-religious origin in Germany developed: THE OKTOBERFEST .

THE SANTA CRUZ DO SUL OKTOBERFEST dates back to the year 1966, when the first edition of FENAF was held from October 15 to November 6,^[3]:9 with the aim of celebrating the tobacco industry, which represents an important part of the economy of the entire region, which is home to the largest tobacco producers in Brazil.^[4] The success of the 1st FENAF encouraged the organization of two more editions: in 1972, from October 26 to November 12, and in 1978, from September 28 to October 15.^[5][6]

In the 1980s, with its history of holding FENAF, the municipality, on the initiative of the then Secretary of Tourism, Ademir Müller, decided to shift the focus of the celebration to Germanic traditions^[7] and was inspired by the original Oktoberfest, in Munich, Germany, to create a Santa Cruz do Sul edition of the event. Thus, in 1984, the 1st OKTOBERFEST IN SANTA CRUZ DO SUL took place, HIGHLIGHTING THE DANCES, THE DRAFT BEER, THE GASTRONOMY, THE MUSIC AND THE OTHER ELEMENTS BROUGHT BY THE IMMIGRANTS.^[6] IN GERMAN, “OKTOBER” MEANS OCTOBER, AND “FEST”, PARTY OR FESTIVAL.

The boarding point will be the same as the drop-off point on arrival     

Upon confirmation, we need, up to 03 days before the chosen date, the full names and CPF numbers of the pax for the Travel List ; for children without an RG, a copy of the birth certificate must be sent. Passengers must carry the submitted documents on the date of the trip.    

Pax are responsible for presenting a document at boarding; if they do not carry it, they will not be allowed to board and there will be no refund by the Contractor

Minors under 16 unaccompanied by their legal guardians may only board and participate with an authorization in accordance with Resolution No. 295/2019-CNJ –Notarized (the company is not responsible for minors)     

Children in the vehicle count as one passenger regardless of age 

The consumption of alcoholic beverages inside the vehicles is prohibited
